Our intrepid friends stay on the Wildcoast and explore this special coastline by swapping their wheeled transport for the two legged kind.
“The beautiful thing about Episode 7 is, I’m bringing you to a place I’ve been coming to for the last 20 years. And I’m bringing all my friends here, because some of them…it’s their first time out here…and it really is such a special place.”
We do a little bit of exploring, a walk on the Wildside!!
Robbie: "Lesser-spotted shoe, tumbling, through this jungle. Justin said he’s taking us to the dunes. Forgot to mention that we need shoes or a shirt because we’re walking through nettle. But hey, it’s an adventure."
And while Bo flies his kite, some laze in hammocks and then we have to move...!!!
Robbie: "This is life, life in paradise. If you look behind you, you’ll see the most stunning view, in the most chilled place that I’ve been to."
Erik: "All I can say is 'typical bru' (brother). After digging trenches and working and working and working. We decide to move..."
“So. We were a little bit delayed in our jungle walk and, uh, our 2 o’clock lunch turned into a 4 o’clock lunch, and the wind came up and our beautiful set got... blown away in the wind. So, we had to move here. But any case, we’ve got to feed the guys quickly. So Gareth is going to fillet the fish. I’m going to wash these and then we’re going to cook up some stuff for the guys."
Gareth catches a Mussel Cracker and 20 minutes later, we eat lunch out of and on banana leaves and as the sun started setting, it was time for us to head on home and have a little dinner... after our long day in the sun.
So while everyone, with the exception of the camera and sound crew, is taking showers, sleeping or relaxing, Justin makes Fish Tempura with the help of Gareth and one or two others.
“Now all that’s left to do, is fry up the last bit of, the last bit of…the whole whack of Musselcracker here. The last of these. Take it outside to the guys."
And then later that evening, we chill out around a huge bonfire dancing and fire spinning.
“Now just a quick warning folks. We are all professional fire-players and what you are about to see, you shouldn’t attempt, unless you’re a professional.”
What an awesome way to end a day.
