"Yeah, we’re still on the Wild Coast. We gather from nature’s bounty, Justin makes pancakes and Patricia shows him how to make vetkoek (kind of doughnut) which becomes lunch and everyone is real chilled!!!!"
“Okay, guys! I want you to eat them while they’re hot, so when I throw them out, come and grab, wrap them up. Work out your own order system and things. The first one belongs to... Jenny."
Mireille: "Favouritism..."
Justin: "Favouritism?! She feeds you when I don’t, so you should be thankful!... Come... Okay... these pancakes are so big, you could probably share them with the person you like the most."
Jenny: "Do you want? It’s delish" (delicious).
"Now part of the whole fun of been in the Transkei, is vetkoek, which you’ve got to have when you’re here and Patricia’s going to help me... Well, she’s going to show me how to make it.”
And in between, everyone wanders around doing their own thing, because you can. That’s what makes the Wild Coast so special. What more could one ask for? Well, we get to eat a superb dinner. Kind of like the Last Supper!!
"So I’ve been sitting outside for the last, sort of, half-hour, 45 minutes, just staring out to the ocean and it’s, like, one of those places where you come and really just relax. And the beautiful thing is, that while you relax, you get to go out and fish and grab mussels and oysters and do all those things…and then you get to cook it for your friends. This evening I’m going to make up an awesome, awesome Wildcoast Vongole with some homemade tagliateli. We’re going to get everyone in to come and help us, and that’s about it."
And dinner is served:
Justin: "Cheers! Enjoy, hey! Wildcoast vongole..."
Gareth: "Here’s to renewing our souls in the Transkei, brother."
Justin: "Yes, recharging batteries..."
What a nice way to mellow out in episode eight!
